Like that little black dress in your closet, a simple, white wedding is always in style. Although the season is calling for reds and golds, this little wedding at The Farmhouse is breathtaking with its clean designs emboldened by a pop of color. The rich jewel tones of the wildflower centerpieces are eye catching, but not overly extravagant, making for a humble, but impressive display in their mason jar vases.

First Look – Wedding Kisses
“For love at first sight requires the very sign of its suddenness; and of all things, it is the scene which seems to be seen best for the first time: a curtain parts and what had not yet ever been seen is devoured by the eyes…” Roland Barthes
Cheers to the Happy Couple
“Bridget and Chris were married yesterday at the amazing Philander Chase Knox Estate in Valley Forge Park. I gotta say I completely fell in love with this beautiful venue.” Kerry Harrison Continue reading “Cheers to the Happy Couple”
Perfect Expressions
The overall purpose of a wedding should be the expression of love – from family members, from friends, between the bride and the groom. Really, without knowing, everyone takes part in what makes a wedding such an obvious expression of love, from the wedding party to the careful craft that goes into each detail that makes the event happen.
Wistful Wedding at the University & Whist Club
Sometimes a photographer catches moments that just makes your heart explode with emotion. The photos of Jillian’s and Brandon’s wedding by Kelly Phillips Photography tell a beautiful love story not only between bride and groom, but also of an incredible family celebrating this beautiful day and supporting a bride whose father is definitely there in spirit but not there to hold the hand of his little girl as she walks down the aisle.

Intimate Wedding-Deep Connections
Hagley Museum and Library is a wonderful venue offering a lot of choices for great photography, but nothing can make a photograph like the bond between family and friends at an intimate wedding. And, in this case, a picture by Fantail Photography, is definitely worth more than a thousand words. Catch the love, the fun, the comfortable humor, the elegant portraits and the beauty of Hagley from the wedding of Steph and Patrick. Congratulations and much happiness! “Intimacy, though part of many close relationships, is not synonymous with with love or exclusivity. Intimate friends are people who like each other, enjoy each other’s company,
go out of their way to help each other, and are concerned for each other’s welfare”.

A Secret Garden Wedding
Kerry Harrison Photography is back at it again this Morning Cup of Wedding. The weather has been gorgeous these past few days, but if you haven’t been able to get out and enjoy it you can take a look at Nancy and Randall’s beautiful wedding photos. Each one encapsulates a bright and balmy spring day with the romanticism of a fairy tale. The Greenville Country Club in Wilmington certainly carries the feel of a hidden castle with their vine covered buildings and vast grounds.

What’s A Little Rain?
Normally, friends and family are burying whiskey in the back yard and praying their hardest, doing their best to chase away any sign of grey clouds, but this Morning Cup of Wedding is starting to think it may not be so bad. Props to Larkin and Chris and Moonloop Photography for braving this downpour on the green of Judge Morris Estate, White Clay Creek in Newark, but what a payoff of incredible photos! A rainy day wedding is definitely proving itself to be good luck with amazing memories like this.

A Break In the Clouds
This past week has been full of rain and grey skies, but this Morning Cup of Wedding’s couple were lucky enough to get a break in the clouds on their big day. Kerry Harrison of Kerry Harrison Photography got the timing just right before the big storm hit on the grounds of Hagley Museum and Library. Talk about calm before the storm too. The garden scenery is so serene and romantic. I’d like to think that peek of sunshine coupled with the bright yellow of the train car are signs for a bright and happy marriage for Laura and Adam.
